Personal Protection Dog - Acer

After an incident at our family home I decided that I would investigate the possibility of bringing a dog into our home to help prevent any such incident happening again.

As an individual I tend to research anything before moving forward and so as I began to look on the internet and found a plethora of companies selling "personal protection dogs". The problem was there seemed to be a wide range of dogs available from dogs priced at £30,000 to dogs priced at £3,000. So I narrowed my search down to three companies and visited them all. I didn´t reveal my occupation or status but related that my husband and I were recently subject to a crime and that we were exploring all our security options.

The last company was K9 Protector, the website spoke of the background of the company, indeed when I met Alaster and his team it was very clear to me who we should put our trust in. Alaster spoke with my husband and I for almost an hour to ensure he had all the information he needed to try and match our lifestyle to a potential dog, this in itself revealed this was more than just a sale to him. We travelled to a nearby training area where we were shown three very handsome German shepherds. Alaster explained the skills each dog had and how he felt they suited our needs. I fell for a handsome 20 month old male called "Acer" he was happy and full of character and yet when commanded turned into a wall of noise and teeth !

And now some three months on from completing our "handover" Acer is next to me as I write this letter. He is so bonded with me and I with him. When my husband travels I sleep well in the knowledge that Acer is there. Acer comes to work with me each day and he gives me such peace of mind.
